Warranty coverage
Where a product comes with a warranty, the period and type — for example a manufacturer's warranty or our own shop warranty — are shown on its product page, so you can check before you buy. The warranty covers manufacturing defects and starts on the date of purchase shown on your invoice.
- Manufacturer's warrantyis provided by the brand or its authorised distributor. You can still start the claim with us — we'll check the item and handle it ourselves or pass it to the authorised service agent.
- Shop warranty is provided by us: we check the item and repair or replace it under the warranty terms.
If a product page doesn't show a warranty, please ask us before you buy. Whatever the warranty, an item that is faulty when you receive it can be returned under our return policy.
How to make a warranty claim
- Find your invoice or order number. It's your proof of purchase and shows when the warranty started.
- Back up your data. For computers, laptops and storage drives, copy anything you need first — repairs and replacements can erase data, and data isn't covered by any warranty.
- Bring us the item with its accessories and invoice at our store (store locations), or contact usfirst if you can't visit.
- We check the faultand tell you the outcome and the expected turnaround — repair, replacement or the remedy the manufacturer's warranty provides.
Please describe the fault as clearly as you can (what happens, and when it started). It helps us — or the manufacturer's service agent — resolve the claim faster.
What the warranty doesn't cover
- Physical damage, such as cracks, dents, bent pins or broken connectors.
- Liquid damage, corrosion, or damage from dust, heat or insects.
- Damage from power surges, lightning, incorrect voltage or faulty power supplies and wiring.
- Damage from incorrect installation, overclocking or use outside the manufacturer's specifications.
- Items with removed, damaged or altered serial numbers or warranty stickers.
- Items that have been opened, repaired or modified by anyone other than us or an authorised service agent.
- Software problems, viruses, lost data or forgotten passwords.
- Normal wear and tear, cosmetic marks, and consumables such as ink and toner.
The manufacturer's own warranty terms may add to these. If you're not sure whether a fault is covered, ask us and we'll check.
Faulty on arrival
If an item is faulty or damaged when you receive it, tell us within 7 days. You can return it in store or by courier at no cost to you under our return & refund policy, instead of waiting for a warranty repair.
